This Frigidaire Nugget Ice Maker seems to always be sold out, but finally saw them restocked at our local Costco. Everyone raves about the crunch of the ice cubes, plus it aesthetically looks nicer with your drinks.
For $199.99, enjoy small chewable ice nuggets with no water hook up required, just plug it into any standard electrical outlet and fill the water reservoir. This machine produces up to 44lbs of ice in a hay and holds up to 3.3 lbs in the ice basket at a time.
It seems as though, after it sits in your drink for a couple minutes, it becomes very chewable and actually think it stays frozen longer than pebble ice so it doesn’t water down your drink. However the biggest con to this is how everyone says it is super loud. One Costco.com reviewer even says it sounds like a Honda with an impressive exhaust leak. Plus this ice maker needs more cleaning than you think! Some say even recommended cleaning guide wasn’t enough and that it can get pretty slimy and gross.
